Coach Burkhamer: "Uriah gives us a low post presence on both ends of the floor. We expect Uriah to score in the paint and rebound the ball on both ends of the court. We also expect Uriah to guard the other team's best post player and be a defensive stopper by blocking and changing shots. We feel Uriah will be an impact player in our league."

Marquise Duvall
6-7, 230, Junior, Forward/Center
Charleston Southern University / Columbia, S.C.

Played in 19 games as a sophomore in 2007-08 for Charleston Southern, shooting 50% from the field and 67% from the free throw line, averaging 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 points per game. As a freshman, Duvall played in all 28 games, shooting 55% from the floor, 78% from the free throw line and averaging 4.6 points per game.

Played high school basketball at Spring Valley High School in Columbia, S.C., where he averaged 20.8 points and 12 rebounds per game. Was ranked the No. 2 player in the area and selected to play in South Carolina's North-South All-Star Game as a senior.

Coach Burkhamer: "Marquise gives us another big body to beat and bang with in the low post. He is aggressive and tough, bringing a workmanlike attitude to the floor. Marquise can score in the paint, but also has a nice touch as a face-up post player. We need Marquise to be an animal on the glass and a neutralizer in the paint on the defensive end. We feel Marquise will help us immediately."

Dwight Tolbert
6-5, 210, Junior, Forward
Chattahoochee Valley CC / Tifton, Ga.

Led Chattahoochee Valley CC to a 20-win season in 2006-07. Earned All-Conference honors after averaging 13.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals a game, shooting 46% from the field, 65% from the free throw line and 32% from three-point range. Scored 27 on two different occasions.

Coach Burkhamer: "Dwight Tolbert gives us that big wing that has always been so productive in our system. Dwight will be relied upon to score the basketball for us. He is very good faced up and can make shots to the three-point line or put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. We also feel Dwight will be able to post smaller guards and should be a force on the glass. Dwight will give us some flexibility with how we can play."

Zach Corliss
6-2, 175, Freshman, Point Guard
West Henderson High School / Fletcher, N.C.

Coach Burkhamer: "Zach is a true point guard. He has outstanding leadership qualities and is a very good decision maker. He is smart and knows how to play the game. Zach sees the floor well, is an excellent passer and can really shoot the ball with range. I believe his best basketball is in front of him and know he will continue to improve because of his great desire to succeed."

Gabriel Robinson
6-3, 190, Junior, Point Guard
Aiken Tech / Augusta, Ga.

Led Aiken Tech to the NJCAA Region X regular season and tournament championships in 2006-07 and 2007-08 with a combined record of 56-15. Coach Burkhamer: "Gabriel Robinson is a big point guard that can make plays. We really like the way he handles the ball and uses his body to protect. Gabe will be able to get into the paint and score by using his size against smaller point guards. Gabe is a terrific decision maker and an excellent passer. He is also an excellent defender and should be able to harass opposing point guards or shooting guards. We need Gabriel to have a great year as our team leader."

David Pruett
6-3, 185, Freshman, Guard/Forward
Lakeview Academy / Sugar Hill, Ga.

Led Lakeview Academy to their first region championship and first state tournament win in school history, advancing the Lions to the "Sweet Sixteen." Finished his career with 1,961 points, the second-most in school history.

Coach Burkhamer: "David gives us another big wing that can really shoot the basketball. David has excellent range on his jump shot and is able to knock down shots from all over the court. He also has a nice mid-range game when defenders run at him on the three-point line. David is a basketball junkie and loves to play. He will continue to improve and will continue to add other facets to his game."

  Chris VanLandingham
6-4, 185, Freshman, Guard/Forward
North Henderson High School / Hendersonville, N.C.

Led the state of North Carolina in scoring as a high school senior at 32.5 points per game. Finished his career with 1,903 points.

Coach Burkhamer: "Chris is a scorer. He scores in a variety of ways. Chris can make the three, or drive to the rim and create his own shot. He is also a very good passer and is able to find the open man for easy looks at the basket. Chris will be played primarily at the wing position, but could also see some time as a backup point guard. Chris has a passion for the game and loves to compete."
