Men's Tennis: No. 4 AASU 8, No. 3 Florida Southern 1

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 4-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State men's tennis team upset No. 3-ranked Florida Southern, 8-1, in college tennis action at the AASU Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.

The Pirates swept all three doubles matches, then took five of the six singles, led by junior Stefan Wirtz, who defeated Florida Southern's Johan Sturk, 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.

AASU departs on a California road trip on Saturday as they travel to face No. 21-ranked UC Davis on Sunday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m., Division I University of the Pacific on Tuesday, March 14 at 10 a.m. and UC Santa Cruz on Wednesday, March 15 at Noon.
