Men's Tennis: AASU 5, UC Santa Cruz 2

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – Armstrong Atlantic State, ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division II, defeated the No. 1 ranked team in NCAA Division III, UC Santa Cruz, 5-2 in men's college tennis action on Wednesday afternoon in Santa Cruz, Calif.

The Pirates (12-2) swept all three doubles matches, giving AASU the doubles point. AASU then won four of the six singles matches, getting wins from Christopher Petersen, Blaise Tribolet, Frederic Heitz and Aref Jallali to clinch the match.

AASU completes its three-game California road trip undefeated and returns home to Savannah to next take on No. 15-ranked Drury on Sunday, March 26 at 10:00 a.m.
