SAVANNAH, Ga. – Freshman Danny Lotz' three-pointer with six seconds remaining - one of six on the evening - gave visiting North Florida a 74-71 Peach Belt Conference men's basketball victory over Armstrong Atlantic State on Wednesday evening, completing a doubleheader sweep.

Lotz' three capped a second half in which the Ospreys (11-10, 8-6 PBC) rallied from a five-point halftime deficit. The teams traded leads three times in the final three minutes, then with 30 seconds remaining, senior Willard Winn went to the line for the Pirates (10-11, 6-8 PBC) but missed two free throws, setting up the final game-winning shot for UNF. Lotz hit 10-of-12 shots from the field, including a perfect 6-for-6 from three-point range, for 27 points to lead all scorers. Lotz' performance overshadowed a record-breaking night by senior Mick Jordan. Jordan hit 8-of-11 shots, including 5-of-8 from three-point range, for 21 points and became AASU's all-time leading three-point shooter on the evening. The Sarasota, Fla., native has 168 three-pointers in his career.

In the women's game, Mikel Taylor and Skye Barber dominated the post in leading the Lady Ospreys (14-7, 9-5 PBC) to the 71-64 win over the Lady Pirates (7-14, 5-9 PBC). Taylor had 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor and added 10 rebounds, while Barber notched 18 points for UNF - including 11 in the first half as the Lady Ospreys built a 35-29 halftime lead. AASU fought back in the second half, tying the game at 55-all with 4:41 left, but afterwards the Lady Ospreys never relinquished the lead. Senior Lexie Martin led AASU with 16 points, while junior All-America candidate Zandrique Cason added 15 points.

The Pirate basketball teams return to action on Saturday, February 9 as they host Clayton College & State at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Peach Belt Conference doubleheader action.
