Men’s Tennis: No. 2 AASU 9, Palm Beach Atlantic 0

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 2-ranked Armstrong Atlantic men's tennis team kept Palm Beach Atlantic winless on the 2006 season with a 9-0 blanking of the Sailfish on Friday afternoon in Savannah.

The Pirates picked up three doubles wins, then swept all six singles matches in straight sets. Davor Zink held off Paul Segodo at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4, while Paul Bishop defeated Brock Newton, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2 singles. Robert Jendelund, Taavo Roos, David Secker and Kevin Sijmons all picked up singles wins as well.

AASU returns to action on Saturday with a key Peach Belt Conference match against USC Upstate at 2:00 p.m. in Savannah.
