AASU Places 50 Student-Athletes On Peach Belt Presidential Honor Roll

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Commissioner Marvin Vanover announced today the Ninth Annual Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll. To be named to the Honor Roll, the student-athlete must have maintained a 3.00 grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale during the 1999-2000 academic year.

Armstrong Atlantic State had fifty student-athletes earn Honor Roll mention, sixth-most among the conference schools. The University of North Florida led all conference schools with 96, followed by Francis Marion (74), UNC Pembroke and USC Aiken (66 each) and Lander (58).

The AASU student-athletes who earned Presidential Honor Roll honors are as follows, by sport: Baseball: Bryan Beckmann, B.J. Brinkmeier, Kevin Bullard, Ray Castillo, Brian Chester, Pat Daly, Bill Keifer, Jimmy LaRose, Damon Moore, Andrew Moss, Jason Olson, Nick Snow, Jeff Thomas, Shane Valigora, Joey Williams. Men's Basketball: Mick Jordan, Bart Westgeest. Women's Basketball: Duanda Ball, Shawnte Craig, Rebecca Hubbard, Lexie Martin. Men's Cross Country: Robert Crenshaw, Paul McRae. Women's Cross Country: Nikki Garland, Katie Graham, Amanda Lagesse, Laura Pell. Softball: Julie King, Stacey Rout, Crystal Saccomanno, Brea Smith, Isa Tillery. Men's Tennis: Aref Jallali, Christopher Petersen, John Stone, Blaise Tribolet, Dave Webley, Stefan Wirtz. Women's Tennis: Josephine Grube, Michaela Kratochvilova, Marie-Claude Ostiguy, Petra Schemm, Aitana Vargas. Volleyball: Julia Baker, Kelly Barbee, Kris Bringewatt, Lindsay Ehlers, Ashley Helmick, Micah Roman, Shelley Weekes.
