MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Junior Maren Mueller defeated West Florida's Tania Kovatchka, 6-2, 6-4, in the semifinals of the 1999 Rolex National Small College Tennis Championships in Memphis, Tenn., on Friday morning.

Mueller, the No. 2 seed, will meet No. 1 seed Petra Gaspar of BYU-Hawaii in the Division II bracket championship match on Saturday morning. Gaspar, the reigning top-ranked player in NCAA Division II, defeated Zdena Rebekova of Northeastern State, 6-2, 6-2, in her semifinal match.

The winner of Saturday morning's match advances to the Super Bowl later that day. The Super Bowl pits the winners of the NCAA Division II, Division III, NJCAA and NAIA brackets to determine the 1999 Rolex Small College Tennis Singles champion.
