AASU Softball Ranked No. 6 In Latest NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll
Home Finale Against KSU Rained Out On Wednesday

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State softball squad, who had their final home doubleheader of the season rained out this afternoon, fell to No. 6 in the latest NFCA Division II Top 25 poll, released today by the association.

The Pirates (30-3, 10-2 PBC), who were scheduled to close out their home schedule today against Kennesaw State, honored their six seniors - pitcher Annie Sells, third baseman Brea Smith, outfielders Sara Noe and Breon Michel, catcher Kelli McNary and utility player Lexie Martin - in a ceremony in Alumni Arena on Wednesday.

Nebraska-Omaha remained in the top spot of the poll, while Bloomsburg moved up to No. 2. Fellow PBC schools North Florida (No. 7), Kennesaw State (No. 14) and USC Spartanburg (No. 25) also appear in the latest poll.

AASU returns to action on Saturday, April 13, as the Pirates travel to Lander University for a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader at 1:30 p.m.
