AASU Softball Climbs Back Into NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State softball squad, fresh off of its runner-up performance at the 2001 Peach Belt Conference softball championships, has reentered the NFCA Division II Top 25 poll at No. 22, released today by the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association.

The Pirates (33-12) are tied for 22nd with Cal State Stanislaus. North Dakota State is No. 1, followed by Kennesaw State, Nebraska-Omaha, Bloomsburg and Alabama-Huntsville.

Fellow South Atlantic Region school Coker is No. 13 and 2001 PBC Tournament champions North Florida is No. 15.

The Pirates wrap up their regular season on Saturday, April 28 as they travel back to the Atlanta area for a doubleheader against No. 2-ranked Kennesaw State at 2:00 p.m.
