AASU's Erin Billingsley Named PBC Softball Player of the Week

SAVANNAH, Ga. (March 18) – Freshman outfielder Erin Billingsley has been named the Peach Belt Conference's softball Player of the Week, announced today by league officials.

Billingsley hit .526 with 10 hits in 19 at-bats in AASU's 4-2 week last week. The Buford, Ga., native went 3-for-7 with a double against No. 10-ranked Kutztown on Monday, then collected multi-hit games against Chowan, West Chester and West Liberty State in the SCAD Spring Break Smash Hit Invitational.

She also drew five walks for a .625 on-base percentage and stole three bases for the Pirates (20-13).

Billingsley is the second AASU player to earn Player of the Week honors, joining Ashley Bain, who was the league's first Player of the Week on February 12.

Billingsley and the Pirates return to action on Wednesday, March 19, with a Noon doubleheader against Trevecca Nazarene at the AASU Softball Field.
