SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State tennis squads picked up a dual match Peach Belt Conference sweep of USC Aiken at the AASU Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 12-ranked Pirates won two of three doubles matches and sweeping all six singles matches for an 8-1 win over the Pacers. AASU won five of six singles matches in straight sets with Robert Jendelund, Dale White, Davor Zink, David Secker and Jeremy Mastnak. Peter Dedik won a third-set tiebreak over Pierre Negri, 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 at No. 2 singles to complete the singles sweep.

The Lady Pirates did not drop a set in knocking off the Lady Pacers, 9-0. Luisa Cowper led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of Nicole Copp at No. 1 singles.

The Pirates next travel to Columbus State for an 11:00 a.m. Peach Belt Conference dual match with the Cougars.
