COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State men's and women's tennis teams defeated Columbus State each, 9-0, on Wednesday evening to run their records to 2-0.
The AASU men, ranked No. 7 in the nation, won three singles matches by three sets, led by junior Blaise Tribolet's 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 win over Michael Waite at No. 1 singles.
The AASU women did not drop a match in defeating the Lady Cougars and winning their 55th consecutive regular season conference match, 9-0.
AASU returns to action on Feb. 17 as the women's team travels to Kennesaw State and Clayton College & State for a Saturday doubleheader.
