Men's Tennis: No. 19 Armstrong Atlantic State 6, Augusta State 3

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State men's and women's tennis squads swept a Peach Belt dual match from Augusta State on Monday afternoon at the AASU Tennis Complex.

The No. 19-ranked AASU men picked up their first PBC win of the year by winning two of three doubles matches, then picking up four of six singles matches. Roger Thiele won the first set of his No. 1 singles match, 7-6, 12-10 in a tiebreaker, then won 6-0 to defeat Atilla Azucki of ASU.

The No. 5-ranked AASU women lost a total of eight games in blanking the Lady Jaguars to remain perfect on the season at 6-0.

Both AASU tennis squads return to action on Saturday, February 23 as they travel to USC Aiken to face the Pacers at 1:00 p.m.
