SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State tennis squads swept three Peach Belt Conference matches on Sunday afternoon at the AASU Tennis Complex. The No. 5-ranked AASU women blanked No. 17 Kennesaw State, 9-0, and Francis Marion, 9-0, while the No. 11-ranked AASU men defeated Francis Marion, 8-1.

The No. 5-ranked Lady Pirates improved to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the Peach Belt Conference with the two wins on the day. Zsofi Golopencza blanked both Laura Puch of Kennesaw State and Kamini Murugaboopathy of Francis Marion, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles to pace Armstrong Atlantic State.

The AASU men defeated Francis Marion, 8-1, as Achim Roth defeated Kevin Taylor, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 1 singles.

The Pirates next travel to Atlanta as the Lady Pirates face Clayton State on Friday, February 27, while the men face Morehouse.
