Men's Tennis: No. 5 Valdosta State 8, No. 7 Armstrong Atlantic State 1
Women's Tennis: Armstrong Atlantic State 7, Valdosta State 2

VALDOSTA, GA. – The Armstrong Atlantic State tennis teams split a doubleheader against Valdosta State with the women's team winning, 7-2, over the Lady Blazers, while the men's team fell, 8-1, to the No. 5-ranked Blazers.

The No. 7-ranked men managed just one win, Blaise Tribolet's 1-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 win over David Olave at No. 2 singles. Three other singles matches went to three sets while the Pirates lost all three doubles matches.

The AASU women won two of three doubles matches and took five of six singles matches, including Zsofi Golopenzca's 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Aparna Sreenivasan.

Both AASU men's and women's teams will take on West Florida on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Valdosta State's tennis complex.
