Men's Tennis: No. 7 West Florida 8, No. 19 Armstrong Atlantic State 1
Women's Tennis: No. 5 Armstrong Atlantic State 6, No. 3 West Florida 3

MACON, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State women's tennis squad defeated its second top 5-ranked team of the season, knocking off No. 3-ranked West Florida, 6-3, while the men's squad fell to No. 7-ranked West Florida, 8-1, in collegiate tennis action in Macon, Ga., on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 5-ranked AASU women swept all three doubles matches, then picked up singles wins from Zsofi Golopencza, Michaela Kratochvilova and Annamaria Forgacs at the top three singles spots. Golopencza easily defeated Eva Papastratides, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles for the Lady Pirates.

The No. 19-ranked men lost all three doubles matches and managed just one singles win by Dale White over the Argonauts' Chris Lewis, 6-3, 3-6, (9) at No. 2 singles.

The AASU women return to action on Tuesday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. as they host No. 10-ranked Clayton College & State in a key PBC matchup.
