SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State tennis squads swept a Peach Belt Conference dual match from Augusta State on Monday afternoon, blanking Augusta State by 9-0 scores.

The No. 2-ranked Lady Pirates improved to 3-0 on the season with the victory. No. 2-ranked Zsofi Golopencza defeated No. 11-ranked Ana Skafar at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-4, to pace the AASU women. Laura Peaty, Manuela Emmrich and Caroline Grage also picked up singles wins.

The No. 10-ranked Pirates rebounded from their previous outing to blank the Jaguars, 9-0. Achim Roth defeated Raul Intriago at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-4, as all six of the Pirate singles players registered straight set wins.

The Pirates next take on Francis Marion on Tuesday, February 25, in Florence, S.C. The Lady Pirates will also take on UNC Pembroke on Tuesday as well.
