Women's Tennis: No. 4 Armstrong Atlantic State 9, No. 20 Kennesaw State 0

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 4-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State women's tennis squad blanked No. 20-ranked Kennesaw State on Sunday afternoon, 9-0, in college tennis action at the AASU Tennis Complex.

The Lady Pirates improved to 2-0 on the season and 2-0 in the Peach Belt Conference with the victory, while Kennesaw State fell to 0-1 on the season and 0-1 in the league.

AASU dropped just three games in doubles play to take a 3-0 lead, then won all six singles matches in straight sets. No. 1-ranked sophomore Zsofi Golopencza won her singles match against Eva Andrews, 6-0, 6-0, to remain undefeated against Division II competition in the 2001-2002 season.

The Lady Pirates return to action on Saturday, February 9 as they host No. 5-ranked Rollins College at 1:00 p.m. at the AASU Tennis Complex.
