SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State tennis squads swept a dual match with Ferris State and the Lady Pirate tennis squad clinched a share of the Peach Belt Conference regular season title on Wednesday afternoon at the AASU Tennis Complex.

The No. 3-ranked Lady Pirates swept No. 22 Ferris State, 9-0, then blanked UNC Pembroke by the same score to improve to 12-0 overall and 9-0 in the Peach Belt Conference. With just one more PBC match remaining, the Lady Pirates are assured of at least tying for their sixth regular season crown since the PBC moved to a season schedule format.

The AASU men swept all three doubles matches from Ferris State and split the six singles matches to defeat the No. 26 Bulldogs, 6-3.

The Pirates and Lady Pirates next host NAIA powerhouse Auburn-Montgomery on Friday, March 12, at 2:00 p.m. AUM is ranked No. 1 in women’s and No. 5 in men’s tennis in NAIA.
