MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Armstrong Atlantic State swept a Peach Belt Conference dual match from GC&SU on Wednesday afternoon with the top-ranked Lady Pirates blanking the No. 14-ranked Lady Bobcats, 9-0, while the No. 2-ranked Pirates dismantled the short-handed Bobcats, 8-1.

The AASU women extended their match win streak to 37 and Peach Belt Conference match win streak to 26 with the 9-0 win over No. 14-ranked GC&SU, 9-0, winning all three doubles matches and sweeping the six singles matches in straight sets, not dropping more than three games in any one set. PBC Player of the Week Luisa Cowper knocked off No. 13-ranked Anna Shchupak, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1 singles to pace the Lady Pirates.

The No. 2-ranked Pirates rebounded from two tough 5-4 losses to top 10 opponents by taking an 8-1 win over the Bobcats. AASU won two of three doubles matches, then picked up six singles victories. PBC Player of the Week Davor Zink knocked off Rodrigo Yamauti, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 1 singles, pacing the Pirates.

The Lady Pirates return to action on Thursday, March 2, when they face DI Davidson in a neutral site match in Charleston, S.C.
