Women's Tennis: Armstrong Atlantic State 7, Hawaii Pacific 2

HAWAII KAI, Hawaii – The No. 15-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State women's tennis team defeated No. 8-ranked Hawaii Pacific, 7-2, on Tuesday afternoon at Hawaii Kai.

The Lady Pirates won two of three doubles matches, then took five of six singles matches - three of those matches lasting three sets - to improve to 11-2 on the season. Winning in three sets were: Freshman Danijela Mijic, 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) over Bianca Baretta at No. 4 singles; freshman Alejandra Aguilar, 0-6, 6-1, 6-2 over Dora Haldorova at No. 5 singles, and Carolyn Ward, 6-2, 6-7 (7-3), 10-6 over Summer Terry at No. 6 singles.

The AASU women next face top-ranked and two-time defending NCAA DII champion BYU-Hawaii on Thursday afternoon at Noon.
