Men’s Tennis: No. 3 Barry 5, No. 10 AASU 4
Women's Tennis: No. 2 AASU 7, No. 6 Barry 2

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – In a matchup of two Top 10 DII tennis programs, Armstrong Atlantic and Barry University split a dual match on Wednesday afternoon in Miami Shores, Fla. The No. 2-ranked AASU women knocked off No. 6 Barry, 7-2, while the No. 3-ranked Barry men edged No. 10 AASU, 5-4.

The Lady Pirates (11-0) won two of three doubles matches, then picked up five singles victories to stay unbeaten on the season. Luisa Cowper knocked off Ildiko Csordas, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1 singles to pace AASU. Johanna Dahlback, Manuela Emmrich, Caroline Grage and Laura Peaty also picked up singles wins.

The AASU men (9-3) came close to the upset of the No. 3-ranked Bucs, but won just one of three doubles matches and three singles matches. The top-ranked doubles duo of Robert Jendelund and Dale White defeated Thomas Hipp and Alexander Praderas, 8-6, at No. 1 doubles. Singles wins were picked up by Jeremy Mastnak, David Secker and Taavo Roos at the No. 4, 5 and 6 singles positions, respectively.

AASU returns to action on Friday with a dual match at Florida Gulf Coast at 2:00 p.m.
