Women's Tennis: No. 2 AASU 5, No. 9 (NAIA) Brenau 0

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 2-ranked Armstrong Atlantic women's tennis squad remained unbeaten on the season with a 5-0 win over No. 9 (NAIA) Brenau University on Friday afternoon at the AASU Tennis Complex.

AASU won all three doubles matches over Brenau by identical 8-2 scores, then got singles wins from Luisa Cowper and Laura Peaty to clinch the match. Cowper defeated Zora Gyoreova, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles and Peaty defeated Josy Soares, 6-1, 2-0, retired. The Lady Pirates are now 9-0 on the season.

The Lady Pirates' next scheduled match against USC Upstate on Saturday has been postponed due to expected bad weather in the Spartanburg era. No makeup date has been announced as of yet.
