Women's Tennis: Armstrong Atlantic State 6, Georgia College & State 3

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State men's and women's tennis teams swept Georgia College & State in a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader match on Tuesday afternoon at the AASU Tennis Complex.

The AASU men, ranked No. 6 in the nation, swept the doubles matches and then took five of six singles matches, including at No. 1 singles, where Stefan Wirtz defeated Jeff Giguere, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.

The AASU women, ranked No. 15 in the nation, won two of three doubles matches, then took four of the six singles matches. Zsofi Golopencza defeated Juila Roudkovskaya at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2, to highlight the women.

AASU returns to action tomorrow, March 7, in a dual match against Ferris State at 2:00 p.m.
