Men's Tennis: No. 13 Florida Southern 5, No. 19 AASU 4
Women's Tennis: No. 3 Armstrong Atlantic State 9, UNC Pembroke 0

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Armstrong Atlantic State women's tennis team remained undefeated in the Peach Belt Conference with a 9-0 blanking of UNC Pembroke, while the men's squad lost a tight 5-4 match to No. 13-ranked Florida Southern at the AASU Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.

The No. 3 AASU women did not drop a set in defeating the Lady Braves on Saturday. The Lady Pirates improved to 12-1 on the season, 7-0 in the Peach Belt Conference.

The No. 19-ranked men lost two of three doubles matches, then could only get three of six singles wins against the Moccasins. Achim Roth won a grueling match at No. 3 singles for the Pirates, winning a second-set tiebreaker 15-13 to take the match, 1-6, 7-6 (15-13), 6-2 over Marco Grangiero. Caue Figueiredo and Michael Jezt also picked up singles wins for the Pirates.

The AASU women's tennis squad returns to action on Sunday as they host No. 29-ranked Ferris State at 2:00 p.m.
