Women's Tennis: Rollins 6, Armstrong Atlantic State 3

WINTER PARK, Fla. – The No. 8-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State women's tennis team had its four-match win streak snapped by No. 4-ranked Rollins College, 6-3, on Thursday afternoon in Winter Park, Fla.

Zsofi Golopencza and Michaela Kratochvilova, the No. 3-ranked doubles team in the nation, picked up an 8-5 doubles win over Anzela Zguna and Vanessa Caddick, the No. 6-ranked doubles team, but Rollins won the other two doubles matches. In singles, the No. 9-ranked Kratochvilova defeated the No. 31-ranked Carla Prieto, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 2 singles, while Carolyn Ward defeated Catherine Picton at No. 6 singles, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. At No. 1 singles, the top-ranked singles player in the country, Rollins' Zguna, avenged an earlier loss to Golopencza with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 win.

AASU returns to action on Friday, April 13 as it travels to Barry University for a 2:00 p.m. matchup with the No. 6-ranked Lady Bucs.
