Women's Tennis: No. 1 BYU-Hawaii 5, No. 7 AASU 4
Men's Tennis: No. 2 BYU-Hawaii 7, No. 12 AASU 2

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 7-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State women's tennis team came one point away from ending BYU-Hawaii's 53-match winning streak, falling to the top-ranked Seasiders, 5-4, on Thursday afternoon in the White Sands Invitational in Pensacola, Fla. The AASU men, meanwhile, dropped its fifth match in a row with a 7-2 loss to the defending champion Seasider men.

The Pirates swept the three doubles matches, then got a singles win from No. 2-ranked Zsofi Golopencza, who defeated top-ranked Adrienn Hegedus, 6-3, 7-5, at No. 1 singles. Golopencza's win was the first for her against Hegedus and avenged a fall loss to the Seasider in the Rolex/ITA Division II Championship match.

Golopencza and Laura Peaty teamed at No. 1 doubles to defeat the No. 3-ranked doubles team of Hegedus and Weng, 8-4. Caroline Grage and Manuela Emmrich defeated Anikanova and Sun, 9-8 (7-1) at No. 2 doubles, while Alejandra Aguilar and Gemma Vaughan defeated Piercy and Korinihona, 8-6, at No. 3 doubles.

BYU Hawaii swept the No. 2-5 singles matches to remain unbeaten on the season. AASU will be next in action on Friday, April 4, at Noon against No. 18 Ferris State.
