Men's Tennis: No. 5 Barry 6, No. 12 AASU 3

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 7-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State women's tennis team picked up a 9-0 victory over No. 18-ranked Ferris State in White Sands Invitational action in Pensacola, Fla., on Friday morning. The men lost their sixth match in a row, dropping a 6-3 decision to No. 5-ranked Barry.

The Lady Pirates won all three doubles matches, then picked up all six singles wins to improve to 13-4 on the season. All of the singles wins were in straight sets, except for No. 6 singles, where Alejandra Aguilar had to go to three sets to defeat Rachel Prescott, 6-4, 4-6, 13-11. Zsofi Golopencza continued her undefeated dual match season at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Barbora Jilkova.

AASU will next face Ouachita Baptist on Saturday, April 6, at 10:30 a.m.
