Men's Tennis: No. 20 UC San Diego 7, No. 12 AASU 2

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Armstrong Atlantic State tennis teams each dropped a match at the White Sands Invitational on Saturday in Pensacola, Fla.

The No. 7-ranked AASU women's team played a hard-fought match to No. 4 Ouachita Baptist, but lost, 5-4. Laura Peaty picked up a huge singles win in the match, defeating No. 5-ranked Brenda Magnetti, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 3 singles, while Zsofi Golopencza and Peaty defeated the top-ranked doubles duo in the country, Magnetti and Victoria Domina, 8-6.

The No. 12-ranked AASU men's squad dropped its sixth match in a row, losing to No. 20 UC San Diego, 7-2.

Both teams will be next in action on Sunday, April 6, against West Florida in Pensacola.
