2003 Mid-Atlantic Regional: No. 15 AASU 5, No. 16 Lees-McRae 0

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 15-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State men's tennis team defeated No. 16 Lees-McRae, 5-0, to advance to the 2003 Mid-Atlantic Region Championship on Friday
afternoon. The Pirates will face host and No. 4-ranked North Florida in the championship match on Saturday, May 3, at 10:30 a.m.

AASU swept all three doubles matches, then got singles wins from sophomore Achim Roth, a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Lebo Jacobs at No. 3 singles, and freshman Tim Offermann, who defeated Andrew
Zarb, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 6 singles.

The Pirates will play the Ospreys for a berth in the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Finals, which take place on May 8-11 in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
