Knuth and the Armstrong Atlantic volleyball squad picked
up a 3-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Monday evening,
spoiling the Otters' home opener. Game scores were 30-25, 30-21,
30-24.
Knuth and the Pirates hit a season-high .288 in the victory, led by the senior middle hitter's 13 kills and a .480 average. Lauren Good and Christina Flores added nine kills apiece, while Margaret Thornton chipped in 23 assists and Christina Flores tallied 20 digs for the second straight match.
Cal State Monterey Bay (2-3) was led by Kiley Stout's seven kills, Courtney Taubert's 18 digs and 14 assists apiece by Nicki Sanderson and Nichols Peyton.
The Pirates improved to 4-2 on the season with the win and will next face Cal State Dominguez Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Dominguez Hills.
