AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta State was
defeated by Armstrong Atlantic State 3-0 in its Peach Belt
Conference opener Friday night at Christenberry Fieldhouse.
Traci Knuth hit .346 with 12 kills, while Rindy Vidovich hit .375 with 11 kills. Stacy Yates tallied 26 assists and Christina Flores led the Pirates defensively with 19 digs.
Senior outside hitter Sarah Lobstein had a
double-double, leading the squad with 12 kills, 14 digs and a
hitting percentage of .417 for Augusta State. Jessica Howard
tallied eight kills and registered a hitting percentage of .222.
Setter Jessica Lowes posted 23 assists.
ASU returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006 when it hosts a
conference match against USC Aiken in Christenberry Fieldhouse at
7:00 p.m. The Pirates travel to face USC Aiken on Saturday at
3:00 p.m.
