Soccer (14-5-1 Overall, 6-1-1 Peach Belt Conference, No. 24 NSCAA DII Top 25)
The Armstrong Atlantic State women's soccer squad hosted Lincoln Memorial in an NCAA Southeast Region first-round match on Friday, but could not overcome the SAC champion Railsplitters, falling 2-1.

Lincoln Memorial scored twice in the first 18 minutes to build an early 2-0 lead. The Pirates responded in the 36th minute on Kristin Burton’s 23rd goal of the season to push the match to 2-1 entering halftime. The Pirates outshot the Railsplitters, 12-9, in the second half but could not push through the tying goal.

AASU finishes the season with a 14-5-1 overall mark and with a second consecutive NCAA Championships berth in just three seasons of competition.

Volleyball (16-20 Overall, 5-5 Peach Belt Conference)

The Pirates were led by sophomore Gwen Clarke’s career-high 26 kills and .352 hitting percentage. Clarke was named to the PBC’s All-Conference team earlier in the week, AASU’s only representative on the all-league squad.

Senior Kassi Kixmiller contributed a career-high 13 kills in her final game as a Pirate. Nicole Yates, who set AASU’s single-season dig record this year, collected 22 digs.
