Men’s Basketball (9-4 Overall, 3-3 Peach Belt Conference)
The Armstrong Atlantic State men's basketball team dropped its only game of the week, suffering a 76-52 loss at GCSU on Wednesday.

The Pirates hit just 15-of-46 shots from the floor for 32.6 percent and did not place a player in double figures on the night. Junior Bobby Ancrum led AASU in scoring with just eight points.

The last time the Pirates failed to have a player record double figures in scoring was the PBC Championship Game on March 4, 2001 - a span of 190 games.

The Pirates will look to get back on the winning track by visiting North Georgia on Monday, January 21, with a 7:30 p.m. matchup. AASU will then visit Columbus State on Wednesday, January 23, at 7:30 p.m. before returning home to host Lander on Saturday, January 26, at 4:00 p.m.

Women’s Basketball (9-4 Overall, 3-3 Peach Belt Conference)
The AASU women's basketball squad dropped its second straight game with a 71-67 loss at GCSU on Wednesday.

The loss dropped AASU's overall record in the Centennial Center against GCSU to 2-15 in the Peach Belt Conference era. AASU's only wins against the Lady Bobcats in the building came in back-to-back seasons, in 2002-03 and 2003-04.

Senior Kaneetha Gordon was held to just four rebounds in the game. She is six rebounds shy of the AASU all-time record of 963, held by Gigi Gibson, and needs seven to break the record.

Junior Lindsey Holmes hit all six of AASU's three-pointers against GCSU and ranks fourth in the league in three-point percentage (40.2%) and second in three-point baskets per game (3.46). At that current pace, she will break the single-season three-point record of 87, set just last season by Tana Griffiths.

The Lady Pirates will look to get back on the winning track by visiting North Georgia on Monday, January 21, with a 5:30 p.m. matchup. AASU will then visit Columbus State on Wednesday, January 23, at 5:30 p.m. before returning home to host Lander on Saturday, January 26, at 2:00 p.m.
