SAVANNAH, Ga. Freshman
forward Kristin Burton buried a shot from the
top of the 18 to give Armstrong Atlantic a 2-1 overtime
Peach Belt Conference womens soccer victory over visiting
Clayton State on Sunday afternoon at Cingular Field.
AASUs Lyndsi Stricklen sent a ball forward to the top right of the box, where Burton ran down the ball, made a move to beat two defenders, then rocketed a left-footed shot into the back of the net for the winning goal. It was Burtons eighth goal of the season, coming five minutes into the first overtime period, and was her fourth game-winner of the season for the Pirates.
