DUE WEST, S.C. – Armstrong Atlantic used two goals in each half to claim a 4-0 victory over Erskine on Monday night at Huggins Field.

The Pirates got on the board in the 24th minute as Jamie Craine converted a 30-yard shot past a diving Katy Jackson to give Armstrong Atlantic a 1-0 lead.

Five minutes later, Amaka Ofuani added another, as she followed Kristin Burton's deflected shot and calmly placed the ball into the corner of the net.

In the 67th minute, the Pirates were awarded a free kick just outside of the 18-yard box and Shana Neves curled the ball around the Erskine wall into the corner of the net to put a third tally on the board for Armstrong.

Donna Cheyne closed out the scoring in the 88th minute as she put the ball past substitute goalkeeper Kelsy Lindsey to set the final margin.

The Fleet had some good chances early in the second half, and Kasie Sears went closest to scoring early in the second stanza, putting a shot just out of the reach of Pirate goalkeeper Samantha Held, however, the shot sailed just inches over the bar.
