SAVANNAH, Ga. So far, the
only thing that's been able to stop the top-ranked AASU women's
tennis team has been the weather.
One day after the top-ranked Lady Pirates had their match rained
out against PBC rival Columbus State with AASU leading, 4-0, the
Lady Pirates returned to action with a 9-0 blanking of Francis
Marion on Sunday.
AASU swept all three doubles matches, then picked up six singles
wins without dropping a set against the Lady Patriots.
The win was the 26th straight PBC win and the 34th straight win
overall for the undefeated Lady Pirates. AASU will return to
action on Wednesday, February 22, with a match at PBC rival
GC&SU.
