Women's Tennis: No. 2 AASU 6, No. 4 (NAIA) Freed Hardeman 3
SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State women’s tennis team endured a close match, but picked up a 6-3 win over No. 4-ranked (NAIA) Freed Hardeman on Monday afternoon, stretching its current regular season match win streak to 85.
The No. 2-ranked Lady Pirates (18-0) won two of three doubles matches, then took four of six singles wins to clinch the match. Iuliia Stupak knocked off Alexandra Mayrot, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, at the top singles spot while Dziyana Nazaruk, Sofia Haggstrom and Alisa Kakugina also picked up singles wins.
AASU returns to action on Thursday, March 22, as the Lady Pirates visit Barry for a 2:00 p.m. match,
