Women’s Tennis: No. 1 (DII) AASU 7, Davidson 0

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The top-ranked Armstrong Atlantic women's tennis team stepped out of division on Thursday and blanked Division I Davidson, 7-0, on the courts of Charleston Southern University, running their current match win streak to 38.

AASU swept all three doubles matches to capture the doubles point against Davidson, then won all six singles matches in straight sets. Luisa Cowper picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win over Kelsey Linville at No. 1 singles, while Iuliia Stupak defeated Michelle Fanny, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2 singles. Dziyana Nazaruk, Johanna Dahlback, Manuela Emmrich and Caroline Grage also picked up singles wins for the Lady Pirates.

AASU returns to action on Saturday when the Lady Pirates host USC Upstate in a PBC match beginning at 2:00 p.m..
