Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Veronica Black

Veronica Black begins her third season with the women’s basketball coaching staff in 2007-08, moving from graduate assistant coach to assistant coach for Roger Hodge. Black joined the coaching staff in 2005 after playing two seasons for the Pirates.

Black played in 60 games from 2003-05 after transferring from Olney Central College, scoring 185 points and grabbing 218 rebounds at AASU. She averaged 11.9 points and 6.1 rebounds while at OCC and was an NJCAA Academic All-America nominee.

A native of Vincennes, Ind., Black received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Armstrong Atlantic State in December of 2005 and received her master’s degree in sports medicine in 2007. She is married to former AASU men’s basketball player Tim Black and the couple reside in Savannah.
